I hope you all have a wonderful and safe new years eve, and that your 2010 is fantastic!!! I will be hanging at home with hubby and the kiddos, drinking non alcohloic champangne LOL the real thing gives me a headache. Maybe a nice glass of red wine is in order. :) HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Hi all, My name is Roni, and I have been crafting for quite some time. My mom taught me how to sew when I was about eight years old. Both the kids are off to college this year (that is where Empty Nest Crafts came from) so I thought I would do this more like full time. I like to make crafts that are eco-friendly, like my reusable snack bags and sandwich wraps. I also like to make my crafts with as many reclaimed materials as possible, hence the golf ball dogs and the light bulb ornaments. Also almost all of my sewing material is reclaimed. That is how I keep my prices so low. I also do custom sewing work, like the photo throw and the Memory Bears and Bunnies, and well, whatever you want. Having a Handmade Christmas??

Here are some ideas to get you started. I will start with the scrabble tile pendants. I am making these this year for friends and family. These make excellent little gifts for teachers and friends alike. They are easy and fun to make, and you can easily personlize each one. The ones pictured are a few I made. I made the digital collage pictures as well, I am providing some links to some of my scrabble tile collages. This is the tut I used, and I have never made these before and they turned out pretty cute. http://www.makeandtakes.com/links/scrabble-tile-pendant-tutorial FYI I didn't find exactly what the tut said to use, so I just used craft glue on the bottom clear glue on the top, and a clear acrylic varnish on top. It's not as nice as the finish used there but it works. :)

Sellers description of item. I love making gingerbread for Christmas, but it never lasts long enough, so, I've decided to make some gingerbread-style decorations, so they will last for years and I won't have any guilt about eating the decorations.
This is a little gingerbread house, made from gingery felt. There is a hand stitched door and window, in white embroidery thread, to look iced, and a red ribbon for hanging. This is also filled with toy filling.
It measures approximately 4" High (excluding ribbon) and 3.5" Wide
